Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has survived an onslaught after Meru High court suspended her impending impeachment motion.
Justice Wamae Cherere of Meru High Court said the Meru County Assembly did not follow the proper procedure when they initiated the motion.
Last week, the embattled governor moved to court seeking orders to bar the Meru County Assembly from debating the motion.
Mwangaza, through her lawyer Elias Mutuma opined that a stranger in the Meru County Assembly called and signed the publication of the impeachment motion.
Mwangaza further argued that since 68 out of 69 Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) approved the motion, the assembly had a predetermined mindset.
